This may have been the unhealthiest food I've had in a while. As somebody with self-control and a lack of gluttony, seeing the displays set out triggered something. I didn't stuff myself, but the ice cream area was packed to the brim, often with repeat customers (I limited myself to one scoop).
Lunch was mostly used to acquaint myself with the fellow workshop participants and find out what we were actually going to be doing, considering how I didn't truly understand what was listed on the schedule. It was all going swimmingly until the point where the speakers were brought up.
Let me start by saying that Professor Hollis had a great presentation. His points were speedy, on the point, and incredibly useful. However, it was a Monday and I had slept only 4 hours the night before. This was just a recipe for disaster. Luckily, the only bad thing that occurred was my multiple mini-panic attacks whenever he slammed the table. The man basically defines passionate.
Although the time was short, the lunch period helped introduce me to the people I would be spending the rest of the week with. I also managed to become a better writer, according to Professor Hollis, in less than 5 minutes. I figure that has to be a plus.
